The 2022 Dune Blewitt Springs Shiraz is afforded plenty of care of attention, made using a combination of whole-bunch, whole-berry and crushed fruit, which was matured in seasoned oak for 12 months. This has resulted in a medium bodied, savoury and textured wine packed with plenty of plush red fruit, layers of mulberry, dark cherry, licorice and some dark chocolate notes. A delicious drinking Shiraz with excellent complexity and impressive length, this is an absolute bargain at this price.

“94 Points. Perfumed, nutty, meaty, black fruit. Medium to full-bodied, again quite umami with some nori flavour, choc-hazelnut and juicy dark cherry, dry spice, fleshy and creamy tannin, good length with it. Quite ferrous, but also floral. Lovely wine. I often ponder the absurdity of assigning scores to wines, so this is either 93 or 94 points.
