Following one’s own base desires (“anything goes”) is simply an expression of one of the oldest human failings – the rejection of authority. It is not a new idea; it is the very philosophy that Judaism exists to defeat.

In a sense, we are back where we started. The entire moral and ethical structure of contemporary society is barely recognizable when compared to that of only a few decades ago. The way people talk, dress, act, and live are but some of its conspicuously disturbing features. Some have simply accepted the “new normal.”

But it can’t be accepted. As a nation and as individuals, we can and must remain clear on our mission and acquire tooks to stay pure and strong. With Hashem’s help, and the guidance of Rebbetzin Feige Twerski in these pages, we can help ourselves and our families be inspired and connected to the One Above.
